Average 30.5 , Yes, thats quite hot .. How long does it last ? Ive been in India quite a bit, so I know I can cope, but visiting is one thing, living in a place a completely different thing.

Through August. The Spring and Autumn are normally quite nice, though.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Ive heard about the rain in the NW, is it really that bad ??
The transport system in the UK is not as good as you think, London is ok (although its getting worse), but most other places have real bad transport. Where I live, you can't do anything without a car, and I travel 15miles to work (30 miles a day).. its really adds up.
I guess the real matter is, I can travel for 1 hour and get from Newcastle (Facing the North Sea) to Carlise (Facing the Irish Sea) coast to coast ... you couldn't do that in Concord over the states/canada .. so there is a economy of scale involved."Wherever wood floats, you will find the British" . I recommend that you take a look at Omaha, Nebraska. It's a center for the IT industry and has a much lower cost-of-living than the other cities mentioned. It also has a growing Indian community and lacks the traffic and crime problems you find elsewhere. It's one of the best small cities in America, IMO, so check it out.
