After more than 250 years of British rule it's just plain silly for the Spanish to demand Gibralter back.

You know, if someone wanted to have a little fun they could propose that sovreignity problems like this, i.e., that involve two memebers, should be settled by a referrendum of the entire population of the European Union. I can't think of anything that would bring the peoples of the EU together more.

IMHO opinion Franco was a good leader and his country progressed under him.

And the "Rock" is Spanish national soil. It should be returned to them. The Brits however have an equal right to protect what they see as their own.

No, it's British territory. Considering that it's been that way for centuries, I see nor reason to change, especially considering that the people of Gibralter want to remain with the UK.

Spain's claim is based on nothing. Not on the will of the people, nor on any sort of historical basis.
