After more than 250 years of British rule it's just plain silly for the Spanish to demand Gibralter back.
You know, if someone wanted to have a little fun they could propose that sovreignity problems like this, i.e., that involve two memebers, should be settled by a referrendum of the entire population of the European Union. I can't think of anything that would bring the peoples of the EU together more.
