The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
The master plan is at work as the English XV is the great favorite. I am invited to the "Frog&Rosbif" Pub for the occasion and I think it will be very funny as most of the people will be englishmen.

Perhaps will we have the chance to welcome another NZ poster here tonight. I have started talking Rugby with Frozzy in the CtP2 DG forum and told him there was a Rugby thread in the Off-Topic part of the Forum.
Curiously enough he does not seem to live in NZ. Why are they all fleeing this country?

See? Without your weighty (in the metaphorical sense, of course) wisdom, we're just a bunch of directionless blabbermouths.
Naturally I didn't warn Finbar before I went as I don't want him getting all upset that I can pop to Eire on a whim.
Nice place, but I'm not going to get angry. But if you'd gone in an easterly direction ...

What, he has started another thread without saying it?
Not another rugby thread, but threads about how much you weighed when you were born, that sort of thing. I guess we drove him mad with our left-wing rants.

BTW, Tamerlin, do you play Civ 2 MP? You could join one of our Australian games. We have a lot of, um, fun. And play some Civ too.

I have seen you were registered as a Civ2 MP player. I have not played Civ2 for several years and I fear I am not a very good player (I have never managed to play beyond Prince as my way of playing this game is not made for the higher levels of difficulty). I still consider Civ2 as being far better than Civ3 (a sorely disappointing game actually).
I must admit your proposal is indeed very interesting and I would gladly join the fray on occasion as I am sure the game is played by a spirited bunch of people.
How long does a game take, when do you play, what version of Civ2 is needed, is the French one compatible?
How do you connect to the server, how is it played, do I have to install a chat software, is Win200 pro compatible with Civ 2?

I didn't even buy Civ 3. I was warned off it by too many people.

We have a lot of fun. It's actually a social event as much as playing the game. We tease each other, abuse each other, all the usual Australian bullsh*t. We usually play Deity level.

We sometimes play during the week - around 9pm to 9.30pm - but mainly on Friday and Saturday nights. I think that's around 11am to 11.30am your time. You need the MultiPlayer version of the game. They're all compatible providing you have the appropriate patches.

We all have ICQ in order to circulate the IP address. I'm a Mac person, but I think Civ MP works on all Windows versions.

Wise decision...

It seems we share the same conception of what a funny game must be, when I play Boardgames with my friends the spirit is the same.
We usually play Deity level.
What kind of tricks do you use to play at this level. I guess these are the same tricks the Civ3 AI has been programmed to use against the human player.
Time won't be an issue if I play some games with you as I will certainly earn the record of the shortest lived nation in a MP game.

Playing the saturday is not a problem but all my friday are busy as I have an ongoing Daredevils Role Playing Game campaign every two weeks and because I have my kid every other friday.

I have checked my version of Civ2 and this is not the MP one though I think I can find a MP version rather easily in Toulouse. I will have a look at the various shops this week.

OK, getting ICQ and installing it won't be a problem.
