--Democrats have absolutely no business whatsoever blaming Ralph Nader for the results of the 2000 election. Neither do they have much reason to blame GWB, Jeb Bush, Katherine Harris, or the Supreme Court. The only person truly to blame for Al Gore's loss is Al Gore.

A politician who uses distinctions between his and his opponent's morality to make statements about policy is by definition either stupid or mendacious.
The Bible is equal parts handed-down ancient mythology, pure invention, revisionist history, and op-ed. It is extremely important as an influential piece of western culture and should be studied in public schools in history and literature courses.
"Life is pain, Princess. Anybody who tells you different is selling something." (Perhaps not an unorthodox or unpopular view.)
A group is capable of being as dumb as its dumbest member, but is only capable of being as smart as its median-dumbest member.
The post-structuralist idea that our words and thoughts are the only definition of reality is a sophomoric simplification of the truth that our perception of words and thoughts are the only definition of our perception of reality.
"Cogito ergo sum" proves nothing.
If the Founding Fathers were alive today, they would be overwhelmingly Liberal, except for Hamilton and John Adams who'd be a Libertarian just to be a pain in the butt.It is much easier to be critical than to be correct. Benjamin Disraeli

French forces have fought valiantly, if not successfully, this entire century (and there would be no ignorant and biased Americans without France [think Yorktown]).
There can be a peaceful solution to the ME conflict.
There can be no war against terrorism, as terrorism is a concept, not an ideology.
If you as a poster discount the Geneva convention and think 'all fair in war', then you have no right to morally judge Terrorist, as they fully agree with you.

Nationalism has been a force for great evil: it was the worst ideas to come out of the French Revolution.
