Scientists are bigger intellectual snobs then anyone else
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

And from everything I've seen, you were smart enough to move out. I was duped into moving here, and my wife and I are seriously thinking of moving away in the next couple of months.

(Not exactly unorthodox for a conservative Christian, but I am a liberal atheist).
Important caveat to the above:
The key word is unmarried, not gay. Married gay couples should be able to adopt: hence, I support gay marriages.
I see marriage as a civil contract in which two people agree to pool their existing and future resources. I am profoundly suspicious of those who are reluctant to do this but still want to raise kids as a couple. Committment-phobia is a bad thing in a parent.
One wonders who you define unpopular or unorthoodx views - they change, depending on crowd. For instance, IRL supporting drug war wouldn't be an unorthodox belief, while being an atheist would be - in Net (At least Apolyton) it's the other way around.
Most Weird Al stuff is not funny, it's just stupid. The reason he's so liked among the nerdkind is that he offers a nerdceptable option to listen to popular tunes, albeit with a bit different lyrics.
But then again, when discussing music, there is only one acceptable argument for band being good: "I like it". Likewise for band being bad ("I don't like it.")
"Blossom" was a good series.
12th season of Simpsons was genuinely and honestly bad. Not just bad Simpsons, bad television.
I once almost liked one of those songs Snapcase keeps pushing, but then snapped to my senses.
Yes, it was wrong, yes, it was senseless and no, it shouldn't happen again, but I bet there were more than a few bullies who tuned down on their act after Columbine - and more than a few victims who survived through the school without killing themselves by idly dreaming about massacre.
If democracy is strong enough, it can survive an more authoritarian ruler who severely bends the rules - as long as he stops short of smashing them completely. After all, Finland survived Kekkonen. Such strongman can even be good. However, it shouldn't be taken as a habit.
Knee-jerk cynicism doesn't equal wisdom.
Hypocrisy isn't nearly as bad as it's made to be.
Whether "Homophobes are secretly homosexuals" is true or not, in most of the cases saying it in a debate against a homophobe is nothing more than a progressive version of "Ha ha your ***".

Missy Elliott - Work It. I don't remember if you've pushed the specific song, but you sure keep pushing Missy Elliott.

I believe that if a man does not want a child, he should have the same right as the woman has in being able not to support it (she can have an abortion if she chooses).
I believe that some politicians actually do believe in good things .
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
I believe that, when push comes to shove, 99.9% of all the people in the world are decent, honest, hard-working people who wouldn't dream of hurting another person.
"Paul Hanson, you should give Gibraltar back to the Spanish" - Paiktis, dramatically over-estimating my influence in diplomatic circles.

don't f*ck anything that you wouldn't want to have a child with then... and last time I checked, women can't just stop supporting their children... legally anyways.
If you are irresponsible with your sex life, then you deserve to pay support for the children you bear.
