Che, a practice that you could try is to make a nice resume (CV) not longer than 2 pages, photocopy it and send it to dozens of companies that are in your field of work.
Just get their addresses and send it to them.
I only send like 5 resumes to the companies in my field of work. (isn't that lazy or what? )
I remember I once got a call out of the blue from a company to which I had send a resume. (wasn't what I was looking for but it was a nice surprise nevertheless).
It won't cost you anything, it is very easy to do (just get some addresses, the more the better) and just send your resumes to them.
Some of them, at least the serious onces, even if they have no places or interest in hiring you then and there or call you for an interview, they will store your resume and keep it handy for future reference...
Sometimes they even have a "net" of distribution of the resumes. For example, the call I got was from an affiliated company of the one I had send my resume to.
Good luck again Chegitz
