How anyone can't see that the privatization of roads and subsequent end to uniform driving regulations nationwide would be a total disaster is beyond me...

I disagree.

You've got 200 years of SCOTUS and other court judges against you.

Why should a government official ever be able to search you, unless you break some law warranting arrest, or if there is a valid warrant involved?

Why shouldn't a government official be able to ensure the safety of a public building by searching people entering? I don't think it violates any fundamental right, and there is a vested public interest in such searches.

How else would you suggest we protect federal buildings from those wishing to enter with bombs in backpacks? Kindly ask people at the door not to bomb the building and hope for the best?
