I noticed ming from his 1x1x civ2 skills long before i noticed him as a mod (but then again, i don't think he was a mod then...)
"Mal nommer les choses, c'est accroître le malheur du monde" - Camus (thanks Davout)

"I thought you must be dead ..." he said simply. "So did I for a while," said Ford, "and then I decided I was a lemon for a couple of weeks. A kept myself amused all that time jumping in and out of a gin and tonic."

I'm such a good little boy Not been banned or had threads deleted. I changed my nickname though, which required a PM to Ming.
"Love the earth and sun and animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown . . . reexamine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency" - Walt Whitman

first seen Ming on civ2 part of forums...

first felt Ming, well my very first thread on the Off-topic was 'anyone here from balkans?' (hey I like to know what can I expect )

it was deleted promptly, and I strongly believe it was Ming, thought I was flaming (hey flaming anyone noticed?) maybe, but I wasnt. so that wasnt called for

in general I have been cool with mans decisions, though I strongly disagree with nudity issues (both him and rah have) that got a few of pics I posted deleted, and they were very decent pics. like one nipple was seen. or a greek god. what talibans

I read an Apolyton/Community thread that he had unleashed his wrath upon. I knew then and there that I had a new role model (at least in terms of moderating forums).
Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.

My first recollection of Ming was when Mark appointed him mod, whenever that was.

Before that we used to have no mods and these sort of five o'clock follies where Mark would come in and close a bunch of threads and sometimes ban a few people. Always a lot of fun that - seeing if you or your threads survived. Mark could be very unpredictable. Those were the days.....

I particularly remember Ming being incredibly humble and saying he was still going to be one of the gang, nothing would change and he would not be a very active mod. Can you believe it? HA!

It was spam heaven in those days.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?
