I first noticed Ming after those raunchy PMs we exchanged.

I think the main contact I had with him was when we were debating welfare against each other............

IIRC you were one of the lefties in that thread too bad the archives got purged, we lost some nice debates

still tho that thread has some of your few serious pre-mod posts. IIRC you were quite the spammer in your pre-mod days

I first encountered Ming a few days after I registered at Apolyton back in February 2000.

My doorbell was buzzing; I answered it, and there stood a Fed Ex driver with an unexpected delivery from Chicago, highest priority. She was balancing a meat-and-cheese tray in hand, and had a basket of fresh fruit near her feet.

"Who's this from?" I asked, perplexed.

She shook her head. "Don't ask me. He just paid for everything and signed off as 'Ming' of all things."

So I enjoyed Ming's Welcome-To-Apolyton gifts. The meat-and-cheese tray was delicious, Ming! And the apples were nice and ripe, the oranges sweet and the bananas succulent!

So that's my story, fellow Apolytoners, of how I met Ming.

Hm. Ming has always existed, of course. Since the beginning of times.

An entire wall of a chamber inside the Great Pyramid makes reference to him, and he is also depicted in some paintings at Pompeii.

The Discovery Channel would not lie to me.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

it took quite a while for me. i spent most of my first year in AC-G/H/S, which is un-modded. it wasn't until i ventured off to the poly/community forum that i even noticed mods existed, let alone Ming.

i think the first time i saw ming was when he was kermit the frog
