    UR--Exactly. He is trying (none to successfully) to build a mandate for war based upon Iraq threatening the U.S. This undermines that totally.

    Considering the dismal economy, most Americans would not support an expensive war unless it was necessary for their immediate security. It clearly is not, and the more Americans begin to see that (and begin to focus more on Bush's abysmal domestic record), the more Bush will find nobody here except extremist nutballs want the war.

        It seems to me that the "war" is getting a lot less media coverage than before. Maybe Bush is losing some steam.
