You wanna know what Nader's real problem is? He can't delegate authority. He has to be involved in everything and he has to be obeyed. I do not support Nader the man as a political candidate, although I think he does some good work as a citizen's advocate. However, he is a union buster, he supports oppponents of democracy )Pat Quinn in Illinois who helped undermine the closest thing this country had to a proportional electoral system in the state government), and his plans to deregulate the airlines were used to crush the Teamsters in the turkcing industry. On the other hand, he did help form one of the groups that helped form Teamsters for a Democratic Union. I do support Nader the political shaker. His running stirs things up in politics and might just help crack open the one-two party system. It's not very probably, but it is possible.

Go right ahead, but power corrupts anyone. There isn't anyone that isn't touched by the slime that is politics once you are in, say, Washington. Any wide eyed idealist representative will turn into a special interest monster in 4 years. BOTH parties. It is just the way it is.

"Power tends to corrupt," it doesn't always do so. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Bernie Sanders, however I may feel about him (wannabe socialist), isn't a special interest monster.

Che: Bernie Sanders really doesn't have any power. He's an indy. Try to be all clean while being part of a major party. I doubt it can be done.

And I'd say power does corrupt, almost always. It might be in subtle ways, but corruption, yes.

I think none of us will make it far in politics, because we don't want to sell our souls for political sucess.

exactly...I'd never take the bribe so I'd never get to the presidency.

                It's a damn shame, innit?
