A cross between the Greens and Libs, huh? Interesting. I voted Lib in '96 and Green in '00. So it appears that I've got a similar combo of beliefs. Tough to actually apply them, though.
I've been voting for 3rd parties as long as I've been able to vote. The Democrats and Republicans both disgust me. Barring some earthshaking change in them, I will deny them my vote.

I wish we could force a realignment of the parties. Get the progressives out of the Democrats and the reactionaries out of the Republicans, then force what's left of the Republicans and the Democrats (the majority in both parties) to merge, Whigs, Democratic-Republicans, and the Progressive Parties. Basically I think that libertarianism is good but it doesn't work unless you have a socialist economy (can't have freedom without equality or the rich end up grabbing power or the poor end up grabbing bread no matter how much people like DF would prefer that they starve on the streets). But socialist economies don't work unless they're set up voluntarily (co-ops etc. etc.) and is run by workers instead of by government, so that leaves me in a strange situation.
Of course I could just not vote like most people who agree with me on most things, but it seems like a bit of a waste...Stop Quoting BenComment

DER and TOR do not correspond, so they do not rhyme.
