What concerns me is that other guys on the fringe may start imitating this crime. In the 80s we had guys "going postal", in the 90s we had mass school shootings, will "spotlighting" people be the rage of the firsty decade of the 21st century?

that scares me too, becuase if you are a good shot, its an extremely easy crime to get away with.

If people know they can get away with it, more will do it.

Thats a good point doc. Reminds me to add ex-enron employees to my suspect list. Was there any Enron hearing going on yesterday or today in Washington?

Right, as opposed to school shootings and going postal, where no one gets away with it. Perhaps we're seeing the beginning of a trend towards a smarter group of crazies.

I am still going with the terror line of thought.

I would call your line of thought many things, but terror wouldn't be one of them.

Um, OK, I never thought of PG as all that safe. The only difference there is that the police are the ones shooting people.

Man. This is a real sad story...

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Yes it is sad. And it makes me angry.

The shooter is probably an ex-marine or other military type. I say this because of the marksmanship and from past shootings. The Texas tower shooting in particular.

I was thinking about the Texas tower shooting also.

The juice is still looking for Nicole's killer on the golf course.
