    Tervetuloa joukkoomme, Ari Rahikkala

    Niin, kirjoista (ja niiden lukemisesta) vielä:

    Tällä hetkellä olen ottanut asiakseni työmatkoilla (jotka kuljen bussilla) lukea vähän tieteistä. Aloitin Tiistaina helposti. Stephen Hawking: Ajan lyhyt historia
    Ote kirjan sisäsivulta:
    "Ajan lyhyt historia on tarkoitettu niille, jotka haluavat perehtyä nykyajan kosmologiaan ilman monimutkaisia matemaattisia yhtälöitä."

    Ehkä näitä opuksia ei kannattaisi bussissa lukea.

    Niille jotka eivät tiedä miehestä mitään: fyysikko, matemaatikko ja nero. Tutkii mielellään mustia aukkoja Sairastaa Amyotrooppista lateraaliskleroosia (ALS). Hieno mies, kerrassaan.

                Noh, aloitetaanpa noin suunnilleen alusta. Joskus aikoinaan, siihen aikaan kun Jasonian Lentävät Saaret vielä ylpeinä hallitsivat majesteettisesti mikronationalismin maailmaa, sai (muistaakseni) paikan presidentti, Jasonian22 eli Jason Steffke (nykyään Harvey Steffke) sellaisen idean että olisi jollain tapaa kätevämpää ja ehkä hauskempaa olla, jos ihmiset käyttäisivätkin Saarten foorumilla omia, oikeita nimiään. Scott (Giant Squid täälläpäin) ja pari muuta, minä mukaanlukien, tulimme tähän pitkäaikaiseen tempaukseen mukaan oikein mielellämme.

                Kelataan eteenpäin aika pitkä aika, siinä vuoden parin mittakaavassa. Menelmacarissa (tämänhetkinen suurvalta) nähdään jo aivan luonnollisena se, että me muutamat vanhat Jasonialaiset käytämme tuossa oudossa maailmassa oikeita nimiämme. Samoin olen myös rekisteröitynyt joku aika sitten Slashdotille, sinnekin oikealla nimelläni. Niin sitten hoksasin että käytän jotenkin epäjatkuvalla tavalla kaikkialla muualla netissä oikeata nimeäni, mutta vain Apolytonilla tätä useamman vuoden takaista hieman hätäillen keksittyä metaforista käyttäjänimeä joka ei enää sovi minulle (en enää etsi valaistumista salamannopeasti). Minä en myöskään todellakaan pidä ihmisistä joilla on eri käyttäjänimi joka foorumilla minne he menevät - minä pidän siitä, että pystyn tunnistamaan ihmisen Internetissä kaikkialla minne menenkin, ja vielä enemmän siitä että kaikki tunnistavat minut. Minullahan ei ole kovin paljoa kavereita todellisessa elämässä - mutta koska minua kutsutaan kaikkialla Ariksi, kaikkialla on myös sama "läheisyyden"
                tunne, aivan kuin minun ja muiden välissä ei mitään tietokoneita olisikaan.

                Niin, ja tietenkin on myös kyse hieman omalaatuisesta kunnianhimosta: Odotan, että minusta tulee, ellei ehkä kuitenkaan "Internetin suuri Ari", niin ainakin "Internetin suuri Ari Rahikkala" tai "Internetin suuri Rahikkala". Osoittavathan ensimmäiset kaksi linkkiä Googlella, etsittäessä hakusanalla "Rahikkala", minuun. Epäilen kylläkin että menee vielä jonkin aikaa ennen kuin voitan tuon Fleischerin kaiman, Ayn Rand-instituutin ja Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Instituten, mutta mitäpä tuosta...

                        Mitään äänestystä. Vaihda nimi, pidä postit for all I care... vaihdan myös MVT:ssä LightEningin Ari Rahikkalaksi heti kun jaksan, pitää tökkiä sitä koodia taas pitkällä kepillä ja toivoa ettei se pure. Se koodi siis.

                            Das Boot (varsinkin dir cut) roxottelee niin paljon ettei mitään väliä. Saksalaisia kauhun ilmeitä 2 ja puol tuntia ja puoli tuntia alkusäätöä . Ei vaan, oikeastikin loisto leffa.
