flsh, I had decided to ignore you, but this is another topic now, so...

Harvard and Yale are surely among the top universities, maybe even the best, I don't claim to know exactly. Anyway, there are a couple of European universities which areat least not far away from that standard.

Yet they have one advantage: Studying in a good university is not financially crippling a normal family. if I remember correctly, there were in some university ranking of US and European Universities the best universities were in the US but at the same time the worst universities were also in the USA. Good universities for the rich people and crap universities for those who can't afford it...

that is not true ever heard of scholarships i was 1st in my little high school and got a full ride to the best school in nc. If you want to go to a good college you have to work for it i now poor people that went to harvard

I'm not from Paris, but live here for 4 years now. Parisians are a bit cold and selfish. And somewhat arrogant (Paris considere itself as the heart or the island in the middle of France).

I know that older generations could be cold with foreigners but now young generation (<30) are quite open to english or american people (espacially, if she's pretty ).

As french I remember that cities like New York or London are not espacially friendly for people of my nationality too ... But I had no problem in country like Cap cod or Boston where people were less aggressive and arrogant.
