WTC was beautiful... sure, I haven't seen them in real life, but on the photos of NY skyline, they were great... Though I don't hope, they'll make them exact the same again, as mentioned before: The new towers should be bigger, better and prettier... If they just build a park (Or just normal buildings), then the terrorists would have won

I just read an article in a danish science "newspaper" (Illustreret videnskab: illustrated science (I think that'll be the translation)), were they are showing a few of the good ideas on how the towers should be re-built... One of the pictures are showing four towers hanging together as two towers...looks really great... Has anyone found a website, were the ideas are shown, I'd like to see more of the ideas..?
This space is empty... or is it?

And would be quite appropriate for NYC.

You know, to commemorate New Yorkers' legendary friendliness.

Boris, I don't think that design is fitting for NY, such artsy buildings would seem out of place I think.

New Yorkers are friendly, we're just in a hurry. When stupid tourists start wasting our time by:

                1) Taking forever to decide what to order at a restaurant/Deli
                2) Walking .02 mph down the sidewalk, looking up at the tall buildings while we're trying to get someplace
                3) Walking straight out of a store into the middle of the sidewalk and stopping, talking with their gaggle of fellow tourists, blocking everything
                4) Holding up entire subway trains by holding the doors to ask someone for directions since they don't know where they are going
                5) Or asking us directions to easily-found landmarks they shouldn't miss, like the ESB or Central Park

we tend to get a little impatient and cranky.

I think they're ghastly, which is why I posted it in the "stupid ass ideas" thread.

It's just that I always associate you with physics and religion, not dildos.

Edit: Is it "dildos" or "dildoes"?

I saw them being built, in their glory, and when they fell, there was nothing ugly about them but their end.
I watched them go up and lived within sight of them for years. They weren't ugly or elegant, they were just boring. They always looked like they ought to lean on each other to keep from falling asleep.

There are truly ugly (Prudential, Sears Tower) and truly elegant (Hancock, Chrysler) skyscrapers. WTC was just 100+ stories of disinterest.
