They did a study on it, and found that they would block out 19 sunlight.

      Urgh.
I guess the original WTC wasn't ugly enough for some people...

19 sunlight? Do you mean block out light over 19 city blocks? Probably do, but just checking...

All depends on what time of day and year.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

No, not 19 city blocks, but 19 sunlight. By way of comparison, I block out 2 sunlight, unless I go about a thousand miles north (in which case I block out 2.3 sunlight).

              A block of showers?

              Towers would be better.

I bet you 1000 euro that the actual plan that will be adopted will be worse than many of these plans over there...

OK, now I'm confused. Where/how are you getting this measurement of light? Could you provide a link that I could review myself?

I have to agree with Axi. Its, unfortunatly, bould to be something as naff or cheesy as a huge statue of children of different races holding hands or something suggesting that the killing of 3000 civilians (not wanting to belittle the tradgedy) would have ended the united states if not for the other 280 million people "coming together"

Coming to think of it, USA has 280.000.000 people and 2.800 dead, which is 1/100.000. In the 1999 earthquake, Athens had 100 dead in a national population of 10.000.000. This is roughly the same analogy. However about the same amount (or more) of people die each year of drug use or get killed on the highways in two weekends.

Not to mention that more people were killed in the Afghanistan war than in the terrorist attacks.

It's not THE greatest tragedy ever, you see... It's only the most spectacular one.

Uh, I doubt that, if you mean in the actions since september 11.

But you're right; 20,000 americans died in the battle of Fredericksburg alone, and then the national population was less than a tenth what it is now.

Loinburger, you block out 2 sunlight? I only manage about 1.7, even at dusk.

Sadly, as it turns out, people are much more effective at killing themselves than anyone is at killing them.
                            I refute it thus!

                              What gives you that idea?

                              And why is suicide sad?

You might also live farther south than I do. Southern living tends to make you block out less sunlight, mostly because of the boll weevils and swamp gas.
