B.Sc == Bachelor's degree in Science
The "lowest" degree is an Associate's Degree. You get these from community colleges mostly.
Then comes the Bachelor's (most common).

B.Sc is 4 years in North America, unless you go year-round.
Masters is usually extra time after 4 years.

you can do a Master's degree after a 3 year period , too.
B.A.==> M.A.
I am not sure we have those. We have trade schools/ Junior Colleges that can give you two types of Diplomas : Technician and Junior Engineer.The "lowest" degree is an Associate's Degree. You get these from community colleges mostly.Comment

In the UK its merged with the undergraduate degree to make a single qualification. If you drop out in the fourth year you get the B.Sc automatically.Originally posted by Ramo
