  • Hello all...went on a train ride today.

Hey all...I know it sounds odd, but I took a train back from Mingapulco today. Don't believe anything you hear...the food is only average and the roaches are huge!!!
Mount Hood Railroad is a century-old, short line railroad offering passenger train & railbike rides through Northern Oregon. Book a scenic trip today!

Anyhow...Mrs. Sneak bought me this cool brunch on a train that started in Hood River, Oregon and went up into the Mt. Hood area and back...very nice.

I forgot how zen a train ride into nature can be. Its a shame our country doesn't put more emphasis on rail travel. Portland is doing a ton of work on its lightrail system...connecting far flung areas and nearby cities...so there is hope here.
It would certainly help pollution and road rage issues.

Well...nice to be back...I missed you guys.
Don't plan on doing that again any time soon. (Mingapulco, that is...couldn't even score a bag there!)

      Welcome back.

Be grateful, at Markapaluco I didn't even get food!
Well, there was some food there, but a database glitch deleted them.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Yeah...the virtual resorts are really slipping in this troubled economy.

Yes...I engaged in a rather ugly flame war. Only the second time I've been enraged since coming on the Internet.
Has anyone done studies on net rage? I imagine it is a lot like road rage, which, oddly, I don't seem to suffer from. But I am a victim of extreme road irritation, however.

I found it soul-cleansing. To watch that much bile being splashed around over such a non-issue really put things into perspective for me...

I'm extremely happy to have served as some sort of cosmic axial shift for you.

That's what I was thinking. I didn't even care what anyone said...it was all a big goof.

I like trains - not the nasty, dingy, drug-riddled commuters that run from the next neighborhood north of me to downtown, but the sleeper train type of thing. Unfortunately I don't get to go on them nearly often enough - the last real train trip I took was from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, more years ago now than I can count.
Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.

No classic trains to ride in your area? I would think most good sized cities would offer that.

                            I don't think Glonk went on a train-ride.

Glonk has left the forums nad taken down the information from his site. Supersneak threatened to out him to his parents which scared him off. (It is really creepy).
