No, it's not. Without an institution of recognized marriage, of course there will be no fair comparison. But if you compare similar relationships (i.e., no legal binds) to each other, you'll see similar outcomes.
Well that must be accurate considering the huge gay sample they have...Oh, and if you compare the few gays that are allowed to marry, their success rates so far are vastly superior to straight marriages.

Would the legalization of gay marriages have a positive impact on gay LTRs? Probably to an extent, but theres no way of knowing whether it would bring gay LTRs up the the success level of hetero LTRs until gay marriage is legalized. I support gay marriage BTW.
Personally I still think hetero LTRs would be more successful even if gay marriage were legalized, just because I think men are generally more promiscuous than women....people like to cry a lot... - Pekka
