Well, to be technical, being a "slut" requires one to be a woman. Still, "seem to be" and "are" are also two different things. The vast majority of gay men I know, including myself, aren't sexually promiscuous. Having multiple sex partners doesn't make one a slut.

Gay men are just as interested in LTRs as straight men, and gay LTRs are just as successful as straight ones (which is, not very).

No, Boris... it's different... in the 70's gay men had felt as though for centuries gays had been persecuted or forced to hide their true feelings. So to make up for lost time, to express their new freedom, and as an act of rebellion, many gay men had sex with vast numbers of men. This is a fact... the same **** was going down with straight men and women, called free love, except that was even less legitimate because at least one can understand why gay men saw the need to 'express their freedom'.
