    Scared?
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

Try to beat England on our home turf, no-one has done that since before your country was founded.
From the weird turn of this thread above, it sounds like there are blokes beating England on their home turf everyday...

I was ignoring that stuff, for obvious reasons.

If anyone should have forgotten this:

The english makes (together with the irish) some of the very best (dark) brew in the world.

Only Carlsberg Easterbrew and one other from Carlsberg called 47 (Xmas brew) are worthy competitors!

-->Provost. I am only mentioning 2 of their products - their best.

Else I do agree with you. Normally I compare Carlsberg with IBM: You pay far too much for a standard ware.

Carlsberg, probably the worst lager in the world. It makes me want to throw up, and I'm usually a lager drinker.

If anyone wants to know what sums up Britain for me, it's BBC daytime TV from the 1970's and early 80's.

Yes that's right- and you did lose rather badly before didn't you- in fact I believe in 1066 you were conqured by a group of people from............ FRANCE! Not only did you lose a war to these invaders from France, you actually lost your entire country to them! Now that is sad! Needless to say, we don't move against England because it would not be a proper challenge- if the French can do it, anyone can.

People in England are descended from Normans too.

That statement is almost as accurate as saying present day Americans lost their country to the white European invaders.

They were originally from Scandanavia, yes, and they made the King of France let them live in those lands. However, they were now living in France and so they were French. Also, the Duke of Normandy was a vassal to the King of France. After the conquest of England, much of the nobility spoke French.

Not really, since there was no such country as the United States of America when the Europeans came. England certainly was a country when it was conqured by the FRENCH!
