I'd like to see the figure skating 'authorities' sweep this under the rug.

Unfair judging has been happening for years in figure skating. Maybe the mob wasn't involved then but this is nothing new. I'm glad this has all come about. Perhaps now they can clean up this "sport" as right now it is just a farce.

I watched that competition. It was clear that the Canadians won fair and square, but because of some corrupt people they got screwed. Things turned out in their favour though - look at all of the free publicity they got out of this. They're probably the most famous people in Canada right now.

Next thing you know, we'll have a bunch of Russian Apolytoners complaining about how American law enforcement is victimizing Russians.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Very well, so please now award the second gold to Lobacheva and Averbukh.

So they are national heros? One would think that, as time goes by, the Canadians would grow more and more ashamed of that incident. It seems not.

Indeed, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Those Canadian mob bosses fixing the Olympic games.

Ashamed of what? Fighting for what has been now proven to be rightfully theirs?
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Don't be so self-critical, Asher. The bosses who organized that incident weren't exactly Canadian.
