  • Oh boy, I love watching CNBC, grab your popcorn...

The market fell over 225 points! YAY!! A lot of analysts in the Chicago area are predicting it will fall to 4500. That will be great! It's about time all the capitalists get reamed for overinflating their market. Hopefully, this will be a lesson to the average investor, and this country won't become so dependent upon such a volitile system.

I'm going to grab a beer and some popcorn for the fun tomorrow!!

I'm appalled you find loss of others such a great thing, regardless of your political beliefs.

If you play with fire you get burned. If you have invested in the stock market and lost money, that's your own damn fault. My mom has actually lost about 10 grand on her 401k. But my savings has grown about 16% since January because I am smart with my money and I put it in stable funds.

The only people I feel sorry for are the people whose life savings were in 401k's that got hit. But their loss will spark reform against such loss in the future.

That's okay Asher, when you grow up, you'll understand.

        Sava, you're such an ass.

Your "grow up" comment is particularly hypocritical.

You're using the loss of others as a way to try to push your political opinions on others. Not only this, but you're doing it like it's a form of entertainment and you even expressed great satisfaction because of it.

No wonder nobody likes the lefties.

apart from the fiasco that happened in Greece,

              in normal terms,

if you play in the stockmarket (and everything is like it should be) and you lose i dont give a rats ass hair.

actually i would gladly see the whole thing scorched to the ground

that's right console love boy... I want the decadent greedy economic system in this country to collapse so that reform will take place that will improve the lives of the other 95% of us who don't make millions. Sure, some people will lose out in the short term. But in order to make an omelette, you've got to break some eggs.

Sava, you do understand the basic boom & bust philosophy behind capitalism and the stock market?

It's part of the cycle, it's not going to change the economic system or political system of the US, it's just losing people money.

But hey, why don't we declare it the National Leftist Holiday and let people like you dance around nude in the streets signalling the end of the ******* capitalists?

(And the only thing stopping you from making millions is your idiocy, Sava)

Yes, I understand the system all too well (two years of being an accounting major will do that to you). It inflates, the rich make tons of money then they sell, then it deflates and the average Joe and Jane lose money. I believe its called Reaganomics. The rich get richer, while the desparity between the classes gets larger. The only problem is that a lot of the big wigs are getting hit hard now, and that, my young padiwan, does give me pleasure.

Ahhhh I can dream can't I. In all honesty, I know the system won't collapse, but a good round of hoping and cheering never hurt. And plus, I get to come on the boards and make all the righty fascitalitists angry .

well i remember the "golden days" oif the stockmarket here.

when the index was going up and up and up and people thought they had found the gooze which layed the golden eggs.

how ridiculous they were, and how criminal the government

anyway all you could hear about was the stockmarket.
stockmarket this stockmarket that it drove you crazy

what about cinema and thatrical plays or music, politics etc etc . NOPE! JUST THE STOCKMARKET!

I seriously contamplated to leave the country if this kept going on....

it was like a disease, a bad dream with no escape..

everybody and everything talked about the stockmarket and stock tips and company tips ad AAAAAHRG!!!

when it got busted.... oh god thank you... like an alien ship got blusted to kingdom come.

thank you god for making the stockmarket going bust.

true people lost their money but the salvation of our souls is infitively more important

I think anybody who wants the stock market to crash should be jailed for treason! They have no place in society!
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

How could somebody with an accounting major have such a fundamental misunderstanding of Reaganomics? Reaganomics is essentially supply side economics...it doesn't directly imply anything about the stock market.

But nothing would give me more pleasure to wake up to the headline in the Chicago Tribune tomorrow, "Ken Lay found dead" with the caption, "Former Enron CEO and 20 other executives from WorldCom, Enron, and Arthur Andersen were found in what can only be describe as a medieval dungeon, apparantly tortured for months, all found castrated with their penis's in their mouths."
Can't you get banned for saying that?

You're an inconsiderate bastard, and I'd think most of the lefties here wouldn't want you on their side of a debate for obvious reasons...

Besides, I don't see what the difference is: In capitalism, it's man vs man...in communism it's just the opposite.

Or if you're not a communist, are you just someone who supports a democratically elected command economy?
