AMD Athlon XP 2200+:
SPECint2000= 765
SPECfp2000 = 671
Intel Pentium 4 2.53GHz:
SPECint2000 = 922
SPECfp2000 = 901
Motorola G4 DUAL 1GHz:
SPECint2000 = 307
SPECfp2000 = 188
Even with a DUAL 1GHz, the G4 puts in an ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC benchmark score. Keep in mind you can get Dual Athlons and dual Pentium 4 (Xeons) as well, you just don't need to.
What boggles my mind even more is you can get an Athlon XP 2200+ system for less than the dual 1GHz system. You could even get a Pentium 4 2.53GHz system for less. It's simply amazing Apple can get away with this, and even more amazing that they've brainwashed many of the Apple followers to think they've got a "supercomputer".
