The evidence is flawed. The 2nd Law is merely not even a law at all; it is just a set of guidelines. There is still a lot we don't understand about the universe.

"And there will be strange events in the skies--signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And down here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. The courage of many people will falter because of the fearful fate they see coming upon the earth, because the stability of the very heavens will be broken up. Then everyone will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up, for your salvation is near!" --Luke 21:25-28
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. --1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

I think I'm beginning to agree with Gibsie on this.

Doesn't creation "science" say that Evilution can't be true because it violates the 2nd law of TD? Wouldn't this destroy that argument? How is it Cloud9?

**Disclaimer: I fully realise that creation science is an exercise in idiocy, and that their 2nd law argument is utter bullcrap. I'm just humoring Cloud.**

Satan is incredibly clever, and he uses his cleverness to deceive people.

But as long as I have the Holy Spirit, he can't deceive me!

                    Oh, don't be so obtuse.

Though I am curious: what does thermodynamics have to do with creationism? You haven't explained why this article leads to the "silly evolutionists" conclusion. Were you just spouting gas again?

I'm having a hard time believing that Cloud9 is serious. I just can't fathom the depths of stupidity required. Truly, the mind boggles.

When I had just seen Attack of the Clones, I was returning home and thought "Hey, that Anakin thing... It's just like in the Bible, when Jesus turns evil!"

Then I thought for a while and... nahh.

The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self." - Dennis Kucinich, candidate for the U. S. presidency

Well the creationists claim evolution is impossible because of the 2nd law of thermodynamics and that things tend toward disorder, so how could complex life arise? Of course if they actually bothered reading the next part about closed systems and acquired an intellect and brain, they'd have realised that the Earth is not a closed system and there is that thing called the, erm, sun, yes, that's it, that does work...amazing eh? Basically 'creationist scientists' totally butchered and misunderstood the 2nd law of thermodynamics.

As for this, interesting, but this looks like one of those really small things. I have my doubts about it's implications though, after all, enzymes function perfectly well...
