Well... if I remember correctly, one of Bush's early decisions as President was to link African aid to his idea of "ethics" - that is, withhold aid from any organisation that had a semblance of a relation to abortion. Perhaps these Congressmen are just trying to extend Dubya's policy of trying to exacerbate Africa's HIV problem by moralising?

It's reality, it teaches acceptance, it promotes tolerance. If you don't want all those things because you prefer your child to be blinded to the realities of the world, that's your choice and they don't need to watch the specific show. it is the same as not letting children see R rated movies

they are not ready for it yet

it is best for thir physchies to come into things slowly

I think AIDS in the US is better discussed at age 8 or 9 then at age 2-4
