And if you're in Birmingham, RJ, you're just eight stops from Aber.

I'd be up for a Birmingham 'Poly meet.

Out of the whole of the Midlands you choose Birmingham? Blech.

Birmingham is a major rail hub, easy for people to get to from anywhere. Direct lines to Manchester, Bristol, Reading and London amongst others which is where most posters will be.

Of course it's a major rail hub. But it's only one short journey from the hub to somewhere nice. That's why it's a hub, and not a destination.

Why would British Apolytoners want to meet somewhere nice?

There are some nice bits in Birmingham center.

Of course last time I wanted to get back from Birmingham I got into Birmingham at about 9:30pm and got home at 1:30 am. Only a 2 hour delay, ****ing Virgin trains.

Thanks for the advice guys - I think it might be best to just put up with it until September.

I'd love to meet up in November. Don't arrange Birmingham too soon though - I don't know if I got in till mid August.

And I'll almost certainly be visiting Aber at some point, seeing as some friends are going there.

As long as the trip wouldn't be to Cadbury's World, I'd be potentially okay for Birmingham. Last time I went there meeting people online, I ended up -ahem-ing with them, and there's not that good a range of people to -ahem- with from Apolyton =o

Aheming with them? What, coughing up sputum?

Yes, no problems, I will be making my way down to London tomorrow afternoon ()...so after tonight I won't be online again before the meeting, although of course I will be around tonight!

Regrettably I must make my excuses. The in-laws are over this weekend.

Why in God's name would anyone willingly go to Birmingham?
