Only God has the right to do magic because he is God. He is the all-powerful. If it hadn't been for God's powers the universe would have never existed.
HAVE A DAY.
<--- Quote by Former U.S. President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt
"And there will be strange events in the skies--signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And down here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. The courage of many people will falter because of the fearful fate they see coming upon the earth, because the stability of the very heavens will be broken up. Then everyone will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up, for your salvation is near!" --Luke 21:25-28
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. --1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

so god is omnibenevolent. That means that his actions are good. God does magic. Everything God does is good. Ergo, magic is good.

That is so extremist. I could tell you the same thing, but I'm not gonna. All you wanna do is persecute Christians. That is so sad.

All we want is for "Christians" to get their heads out of some ancient middle-astern superstition. Magic doesn't exist. Hence it isn't a threat and can't be bad.
How do you feel about C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia?
Three other great British authors of the 20th century, J.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Aldous Huxley attained fame for works of ficion by writing works that contain elements of magic which could be construed as paganistic, or at least anti-christian. Tolkien's works describe a detailed Pantheon of Gods and demonic figures. C.S. Lewis's Narnia books frequently invoke magic, and have an animal, Aslan the lion, as the penultimate god-figure. Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" seemingly glorifies an atheistic future world devoid of morals in which little children are actually encouraged to explore their sexuality.
Ironically these three men were charter members of a society at Oxford University which had as it's goal the re-establishment of Christian faith and ethics in a collegiate community which they saw as having become increasingly materialistic and anti-christian. Lewis in particular gained equal fame as the author of numerous works on the role of Christianity in the modern age.
Evidently writing about witches and magic don't make a person a pagan, nor are all tales that concern them necessarily anti-christian.
"I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!
A kid reads a book that happens to discuss magic. The kid has the desire to become a wizard or whatever (I never read Harry Potter, I don't know what I'm talking about).
Now assume his parents taught him at a very young age what is right and what is wrong. The kid realizes that using magic could be wrong and decides its best to avoid it altogether.
The use of magic is averted. God is happy. And freedom of expression was not denied to those who have it.
Why? Because of good parenting. Good parenting can solve more problems then we know.
I wonder what Cloud thinks about RPGs. He wouldn't know about the really cool stuff like Unknown Armies or Delta Green (nudge nudge wink wink), but surely he's heard about Dungeons & Dragons.
So how 'bout it dude?
