thats what i thought? one or the other (penalty pref.), IMO too many players had average games, but how about the commentary in the first half when Carlos hit the side netting:

    "Well covered by semen(sic)"

Childish I know but it made me laugh at 08:00 on my third pint!!!

Shame there was no chance for a "Butt well covered by Seaman"

Tomorrow is very important for me.... I hope Korea loses.... and many people here actually predicted infavor of Spain. Lets hope that turns out to the best.

Oh god, I've just watched the highlights again, and the football was sh1tter than in '96, the fighting spirit of '96 was nowhere to be seen, the Oasis song they played was sh!tter than the Oasis songs of '96, the weather in Bristol is twice as sh!t as in '96, and I'm not 23 like I was in '96.

We've got nowhere! England is still sh!t! How do we stop this???

Hmm, I wonder how well Brazil would have fared had the game been played in a pissing downpour and a sodden field rather than the heat and humidity that was...

I have no idea why the Brazilian was sent off though ... Seaman looked positively puzzled by it for instance. After the first half the referee really seemed to lose it ... suspect calls going both ways were too numerous. This in contrast to his performance in the first half, which was rather good.

I think the English forwards and the English defence did a good job today. It was in the midfield where the problems were - especially lobbing these damned innaccurate long balls forward all the time. They really were not doing their job very well today for whatever reason. And can someone tell me what Scholes was doing on that team? The number of England screw-ups traceable back to him in many games is just a little too much.

Just because Beckham didn't get a yellow for diving doesn't mean he didn't dive.
