No foreign aid
Defense of borders with armed officials
Curtailed immigration
Immediate deportation of all illegal immigrants regardless of status
Straight talk in all negotiations - You do action X, we'll do action Y

Taxes:
No income tax
15% sales tax except on food
Imported goods may be tariffed

Rights:
RICO goes away - entirely too abused
All laws older than 15 years go - any which are needed can be readded
Strict enforcement of all search and seizure laws and checks
Legal technicalities are a no-no, and the death penalty will be mandatory in multiple-1st degree murder situations
Drugs are legal, penalties for theft are raised, and drug trafficing illegally punishable by death

Goverment:
Abolish the NEA
Abolish the IRS
Revocation of the Income tax amendment
Guranteed funding for current receipients of SS and for those within 20 years of retirement by protecting fund
Increase in military spending with focus on training and conventional superweapons and high-tech troops
No pork barrel, few federal government projects

OKay, to transplant a post from Gamecatcher:

My system:
Create three classes. One for merchants, and workers both skilled and unskilled. Another for Millitay personell, including all oficers. A final one for academics. Children are placed into classes based on ability, i.e. quick learners go into the academic group. People are conditioned into believing the way things work is fine, thus people are happy. And, no-one would want a change to this, as a different class' purpose would be nothing one would want to do, and they would compliment each other.

With the smart people, who were also conditioned to work for the greater good at the helm, things will work much better, people will be happy, all will be fine, and Science can proceed unhindered in such a society.

Also, institute a mass sterilisation of all people, and keep sexual organs in taks to be used for Artificial Reproduction. Encourage sex for fun to relieve stress and to keep people happy. Prohibit anything which does not comply with the rule of the state, and what is desired. No rebel TV shows, no foreign ideas, and certainly no religion, as that divides loyalties.

I call this Sunetocracy (Sunetos meaning Intelligent, cratos meaning Power), and it is a mix of the Government in Brave New World with the government in Plato's 'The Republic'.

Cia had said that they would make drugs legal but traffiking of drugs would be punishable by death... So the gov't would have a monopoly on drugs or is he just pulling **** out of his ass?

And DinoDoc... I think Imran just wants American soldiers to die by the dozens on some unknown, half civilized frontiers like Khazakistan or Rawanda... Maybe it's just me but if I was a soldier and was going to fight and die somewhere, it sure as well wouldn't be in Somalia protecting the interests of someone who's not my friends or family.

Well, my ideal government would be something like this:

-Nationilized healthcare
-Reduction of the military
-Strong federal government
-Heavily taxed provinces/states to benefit all with federal programmes
-Higher sales tax (federal) to fund government programmes (i.e. GST)
-Increase size and funding of all government agencies
-Military will only be used for peacekeeping
-Prime Minister/President will have most power of any cabinet, in order to keep pogress high and bickering low
