yes, but even EM fields can be transported when a Laser can (it's not that far a step anyway), so it wouldn't even be a problem.
BTW, we can also test the thing with mice before using it on Stefu. And we can always use it on Stefu and Eli before using it on human beings.Comment

J. Verne imagined submarines, airplanes and such stuff, now the world is full with them.
I think science fiction is a primary mover in our scientific endevours, or maybe a guide.
