I edited it right after I posted it. I was thinking "moronic American politician" and Jesse and put two and two together. It was already edited before you posted.

No, YOU'RE the stupid one, Mr. Poopypants.
        Just go away, Boris, seriously...
It'd be like me posting in an Opera thread about how everyone should stay away from Opera because Metallica uses guitars.

Yeah, the ones we have in Canada are so much better. They're all like 70 years old and they live in MEXICO, and attend maybe like 5-6 senate seatings per term. That's SO MUCH BETTER than Jesse Helms or Hilary Clinton, isn't it? Jackass. Go away, you aren't even debating the topic!

There are guitars in opera, too. I.E. the serenade in I Pagliacci.

Having a legislature based upon party, and block election does not represent the populace- change it.

No, I think you are the nutty one . Most Americans like their Senate. I think it is a wonderful instiution.

                        1. Most Americans also eat at McDonalds. So much for American wisdom.

                        2. I doubt most Americans would admit to liking the Senate.

                        3. I'm not saying the Senate isn't better than what Canada has now, I'm saying that hopefully, our wise Canadian friends could come up with something even better. Since I have a near-universal love of the Canadians I know (Asher, however, being a persistant thorn in my side, for some inexplicable reason), I naturally would want to see them avoiding the U.S. mistakes.

They don't like the *******s who inhabit the Senate, but the institution would have the respect.

I don't see an equal vote share (in addition to the proportional share of the House), coupled with balances of the other parts of government as a mistake.

BTW, Boris I met and talked with Ventura at COMDEX last year.

He actually read off of ordinary cue cards!!

His platform doesn't seem all that bad.

COMDEX? What were you doing at COMDEX?

Ventura isn't particularly popular in Minnesota anymore, where the majority seems to have said "What were we thinking?!!!" It is rumored he won't seek re-election because he's proven to be rather inept as a governor.

Let's stop threadjacking. Back to the Canadians walking the precipice of DOOM!
