So, how's Nokia doing against Ericcson?

in republics people who didn't vote for the current head of state often hate them with a passion. Look at the Yanks fighting it out over Clinton and Bush.
Yes, because of monarchy those Brits sure loo-ooo-ooo-ved Maggie Thatcher. And they're absolutely worshipful of Tony Blair, too. In fact, there's never been a PM Brits haven't been eager to suck the dick of. (And yes, there's never been a PM in Britain who hasn't had a dick. Present one excepted.)

Nokia's doing great, Stefu. I tripled my net worth on Nokia warrents in 1998-2000. Then I doubled it by going short in 2001.

Nokia is close to my heart always. Gotta love predictable stock. But Ericsson is almost as good if you're going short, you know

The thought of all those little Finns working hard to pad my wallet is almost sexual, you know. God I love Capitalism!

Cheezus, Stefu, are you hitting that Kosken already or is this your usual modus operandi? The Brits - who are, by and large, splendid chaps, I'll have you know - are perfectly welcome to hate the politicos because they have a head of state that can do all the rallying round the flag that's neccessary without any partisan bickering.

So have we: the King can come and make us all feel good being Swedes, and the along comes the PM and we can all start looking for the daggers. It's really nifty. You ought to try it! Not that I could possibly imagine who'd be the King of Finland - Koivisto (sp?) missed the boat on that one... Perhaps that violin-playing bimbo would do?

That's right, the Finnish do sound retarded - when they speak Swedish.

It's all projection! Hey, if he can be King, then CEO is the least I can do...

Oh well, first off both SAP and VP do have a change to republic on their program. Even if that don't mean **** for SAP I do belive that the majority of VP-voters are against or neutral to the monarcy. Futher, IIRC, VP do make a motion every year for the introduction of a republic even if it's more of a symbolic gesture as their's no support for it in the parlament.

That didn't even make any sense!

Krop, you are right about that still being the official party-line, but I somehow doubt most vp's would go for it. I saw a program about a bunch of guys up in Malmfältet (hard-core Norrskensflamman readers and all) who were deploring how vp had gone soft with a homosexual agenda instead of doing good old-fashined class struggle, but the thing I recall was when the reporter asked them about the King.

"The King? He's great! At least he hunts like a real man!"

I'd say the King's safe as long as there's still elk in Sweden

Ha! I'm not a hunter at all myself but i hardly consider the King a real hunter either. Hunting as a King is not real hunting imho.
