You seem to be playing down the impact of the destruction of the WTC by pointing out that people are now able to sell Sept 11 T-shirts and caps. Do you really think this makes up for the loss in the slightest? Unbelievable.

On the scale that those African people did? Those cattle are worth a lot to them, I hardly think many Americans will donate such a large proportion of their goods.
Your anti-american bigotry is painfully obvious. Slowwhand posts a great thread pointing out the generous contribution of this tribe, and you use it as an excuse to bash americans.

So American lives are worth more than others? No nation can claim to be the centre of the world. The arrogance astounds me.
Did I say american lives are worth more than others? No. But america being the center of the world means that disasters here have a much greater effect on the world. America is the number one superpower, its undeniable. Your arrogance and ignorance disgust me.

Yeah, but you forget, I'm Texan. Texans are crass and boorish people of the more Southern persuasion, and don't care about anything.

Of course it doesn't. But the US is not the only nation to have experienced such loss.

I have nothing against Americans, but I do have several qualms with the US government and its actions.
The African people experience huge suffering, the article seems wrong. I have never said the deaths of those in Sept 11 where anything other than tragic, but it shouldn't make any difference what nationality they are.

Maybe because the US government (and the British gov) then goes and bombs the hell out of another country.

And yeah, copying my insults makes you sound really intelligent

Did anyone say it was? How is this fact relevant?

You have plenty against americans, every chance you get you take a shot at them. Many of your insults are directed at the american people, dont try denying it.

What red_jon seems to have missed is that these people probably didn't give a cows ass about the nationality of the dead. It's just plain compassion.

Please give an example. I like more American people than I dislike. I despise the US government though. They are totally different things.

As long as Jon like Poly Texans, I don't care about the rest of the country. They're on their own.

Thats the sentiment that I would like to take from this. In the back of my head I have a little voice saying "some wiley old chief has worked out how much benefit could be draw from the US good will that it will create" but I shove that cynical cr@p back, because I am sure that they meant it the way most of the poster have said.
