  • The Sensible Majority Believe US And Europe Need To Work Together

UK Prime Minister Tony Blair says he wants to stop politicians on both sides of the Atlantic from creating a rift between America and Europe.

He told the Times newspaper that the "sensible majority" understood that what the two continents had in common was far more important than what divided them.

He warned politicians on both sides of the Atlantic not to ask Britain to choose between them.

People like Saint Marcus and Faded Glory who wish to see a rift between the US and Europe develop are not part of the sensible majority.

well this is obvious. the US is the most pwerful nation in the world and the EU (if it pulls it's act together and does what its supposed to [or what i think it's supposed to]) will be a close rival.

but if they work together, they wotn eb rivals, they'll be great allies indeed. with the combined money / labor between all the nations of the US and EU, or as i now call it the USEU, we'd have colonies on mars in no time

The EU is jealous of the US and of Britain's special relationship with it.

This article is so ****ing funny

The prime minister said this anti-American sentiment in Europe was to do with "jealousy about America's position and concern about American culture dominating European culture".
Are you sure Tony isn't an American? Pathetic little asspuppet indeed.

Referring to the growing importance on the world stage of Russia

I'm begining to lose all the respect I had for Blair. And he used to be a social democrat too! Could have fooled me...

American leaders always know what is best for other countries -- whether those countries realize they should be "nurtured" by us or not.

I wish they'd figure out what's best for their own country for a change. They aren't doing a very good job at it (just look at the economic crises, terracts, anthrax, enron scandal, election fraud, republicans, etc)

Is it impossible to figure out whats best for your own country and help out others at the same time?
