I could have dealt with it if they had one in bleeding Birmingham as I am there on Monday, or Manchester. But it is a lot of money to get that kind of distance and back.

In this country? Cheap? You must be joking. I dunno how much the coach ticket is, it takes so long I wouldn't get the chance to actually do anything there, the train would be about £70 return (more expensive than driving)

Coach from Hull to London, day return (arrive 12:50, leave at 5pm) £20.50

It's generous of you to find that out for him but I bet he doesn't go...

www.gobycoach.com as well. I know how much the coaches are, but I am not going to go down there on a wild goose chase. I would email/phone them first, which seems a far wiser choice.

Besides, this thread wasn't about giving me job advice, it was about mine and a friends curiosity about what the hell people my age find to do on the nights/weekends. Have they really gone into middle age already?

Does middle-aged involve spending most of your evenings at home watching TV Rich..?

No, I think they are all out doing stuff but if you aren't out doing stuff you'll never find them. Most people my age are still out pretty regularly even if they have birds.

Nightclubs (decent ones, not rock dives..)
                          Cinema
                          Trendier (ie more expensive) pubs/bars
                          Restaurants
                          Clubs and societies

Now Rich, how about you match this list to places you go...

The Rock Dives are the decent nightclubs but the average age is low. or
