Wow, I started this thread about someone else having sex with a 14 year-old and I get someone saying any adult having sex with someone younger than 18 (presumably you apply this standard to everyone and noy just Tom, Sava), should be locked up, so, because I've had sex with a 17 year-old when I was 18, I should be locked up too. Isn't that a little extreme?!
Btw Ming, paedophilia only applies to the pre-pubescent. Most 14 year olds aren't pre-pubescent, so sex with a 14 year-old, especially one who is fully developed physically is not paedophilia. Just disgusting.

Uhhh... please find where I have said any of what you claim I have. In addtion, it is not EXACTLY the same thing. A 14 year old girl having sex with a 21 year old male is against the law, while also being pretty sick. If a 21 year old male had sex with 14 year old male, that would be against the law too... And I would hope that in both cases, they would arrest the 21 year old and lock him up for a long time.
Not by Dutch law or Canadian law, although American and possibly British law says so. Thus it is appropriate to ignore what the law has to say on the matter, because legal rulings are quite fluid, and can change from region to region (No one would be such a blockhead as to say screwing a 14 year-old is paedophilia in one country but not in another, would they?). Proper scientific definitions, such as to be a paedophile you have to find pre-pubescents attractive, are more apt here.

You are distorting my words. I am saying that an anti-pedophile biggot would VIEW a relationship between a 14 year old girl and a 21 year old guy exactly the same as an anti-gay biggot would VIEW a relationship between a 30 year old guy and a 30 year old guy.
In many places both relationships are illlegal, so you can't use that out. The 30 year old homosexual relationship is illegal for mostly the same reason you want 14/21 relationship illegal, because it is thought of as "disgusting beyond belief" by closed-minded people.

Unless I'm completely missing something, gay relationships and pedophile relationships (I guess that's what you call them) wouldn't be viewed as disgusting for the same reasons.
This 14-21 relationship doesn't strike me as wrong because a 14-year-old is having sex with a 21-year-old (as anti-gays would find a man having sex with a man wrong), it strikes me as wrong because the 14-year-old most likely does not know what she is doing, or what she's gotten into, or how to get out of it if necessary.
Anti-pedophile laws focus on protecting the minors, not restricting the pedophiles. They're not in place because we hate people like that, they're there because 14-year-olds just don't get it yet.

This is a group of hundreds of PARENTS who raise their children non-coercively. Never doing something against their will and always respecting them as equal individuals. Guess what, when raised in an atmosphere of respect, tolerance and equality these young people even younger than 14 are no different emotionally, physically or intellectually than their parents would be. This is a FACT you can go ask any of these parents.
