I've also heard it pronounced "hear-eh-tick," but I've always preferred "hair-uh-tick."

i used to believe in the princess (which was me) getting saved by a prince charming on a white horse and that they'd go off together and live "happily ever after" in a big castle.

                "blood is blue".

Blood without oxygen in it is blue.

You never see it like this (outside of your body) because the air around you contains oxygen.

                  Skanky got there first.

Anyway, Heretic is according to my dictionary (OED, no less) he'-ritk (' indicates the stressed syllable). No other pronunciation is given, although I believe heh-re'-tik is also somewhat acceptable. Unfortunately, I'm finding it a little hard to decide whether it is or not, or whether I've written it correctly or not, as I've just said heretic so many times in various pronunciations that it has ceased to have any meaning for me, and is just a jumble of sounds. I hate it when that happens.

I tend to use the second pronunciation of those chowlett, although recently I have been finding amusing differences between British and American pronunciation, especially when it came to those rhymes

Yup. It is always amusing to see the Torch landings put on the same level of importance as Stalingrad or Kursk.

I used to think that my head could get 'full'. So I would plug my ears when people were saying things that I thought were not important so as to not take up any space in my head

The Torch landings quite arguably provided the basis for the huge Russian victory at Stalingrad, by drawing off large numbers of reserves, combat aircraft, supplies, and air transport.

                              Exactly, merely a minor diversion.

don't get scared here..please...(but i was a really weird child):
i thought i was going to be the bride of satan and find his softer and more humanistic side.
i thought the boogie man or the incredible hulk would come out at night from under my bed and get me.
after watching Jaws for the first time, i thought that sharks were swimming in the walls around the bathtub and at anymoment, they'd burst through the walls and eat me.
and for a good portion of my childhood...i thought that the whole world was plotting together to treat me like ****...everyone was in on it ..like i was an experiment and at some point everyone would tell me the experiment was over and people would like me.

                                lonely kids have vivid imaginations.
