but I want to know the health effects. Can you get hepatitus from them?
Does the ink really go to the brain and make you retarded?

Check out your Tattoo Shop very well. I had both of mine done at Skin Deep Tattoo in Maui. I sat around and watched for hours. The place was very clean, cleaner that some health departments/clinics I've been in. I got my first one in 1999, and so far, I've had no adverse affects! If you're worried, do some research...my only worry was the cleanliness of the place. I had been in some that were down right scarey. The shop I went to I had no doubts about...they steralized everything.
It did take me 2=3 years to get brave enough to go through with it...but I haven't regreted it and the artist did GREAT work!
Hope this helps a little.
