I got taught most stuff from the Pilgrim Fathers onwards. Including native american culture before we arrived, Spanish, French, Dutch and British settlement, expansion westwards, slavery triangle, war of independence etc. Was a course we did in the second or third year of secondary school. Year 8 or 9 nowadays, 12-14. I didn't get much past the 19th century 'cause I dropped history for GCSEs. Read about it on my own since then though.

Wales
Scotland
are part of GB, but have some sort of independent country status I think.
