        • kaak = excited. I may have a house in galveston by the time all this takes place. That could be a place to stop, or stay while visiting Houston.

            • We usually camp out on the beach. What about floating down the Guadalupe River that's always an option.

Yes David ~ I won't forget about Tia's kid she can come to if she's not into doing her teenager thing. We have an amazing fireworks show over Zilker park for forth of July and if he comes at the right time we also have free music concerts at Auditorium Shores and at Shady Grove. So you see there is quite alot to do here in Austin and Texas.
Welcome to earth, my name is Tia and I'll be your tour guide for this trip.

When is this taking place? The Guadalupe stays pretty chilly for a while, but hopefully this year by the time it does warm up the water won't be too low. Also, there is tons of fun stuff to do in Austin AND the surrounding area. Not as fun as it used to be, but that's progress for ya!

                • IIRC July would be the appointed time. By then the Guadalupe should be ok, but only if we get enough rain.

There aren't too many beating as bad as the one the Guadalupe can give your arse if it's too low. I cringe just thinking about it!

Actually... it's not. They do call the big Gay Pride event here in the UK the Mardis Gras...

                              • EiF: Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) is a big dirty naked celebration, particularly in new orleans where girls get beads for showing their tits. There are also a few parades and things like that that no one cares about anyway, It is like Carnival. Check out the website: http://www.mardigras.com

                                Hella fun...But over.
