He in not protecting us with such wordly display of US power, he is threatening us by generating more misunderstanding between two groups.

Humm I don't think so I believe he is saying rise up people take these stupid f*** out. Let's face it these gobs of s*** got into power buy terror and the control by all means over their own people. That is for the most part the reality of the situation...

In case you havent noticed, we elect our leaders and have constitutional rights. They on the other hand, take power themselves and neglect there citizens.

Grr - are you trying to win the troll of the year award or something?

I vote yes - the Bush is way out of line in naming countries as an "axis of evil" and not providing any evidence to support his claim.
This is especially disturbing as there have been strong signs in recent years that Iran is mellowing towards the west, and chinks have begun to appear in North Korea's facade.

I guess it's one way to draw attention away from Enron though

Is that why they give active support to the Islamic Jihad, Hizbollah, arm the opposition to the US backed government in Afghanistan, and ship 50 tons of weapons to the PA?

I wasn't specifically talking about the USA, but if that's what you want...

You conduct yourselves in different fashion, but both goverments rose to power through war, and both goverments control their citizens.

This isn't about the cops patrolling the world. This is about the rich neighbour with lots of guns suddenly deciding he is going to decide who is a threat and who is not. And his definition of a threat is anyone who has different values than what he believes in.

Besides, if we follow this analogy, where are the checks and balances on the global cops? Yes, we need to protect ourselves from criminals, but we don't want to live in a police state.
