Wow. Which one is more embarassing?

The first one of course. If they would allow the claim to pass, there would be hell broken loose when all the notes would have to be withdrawn and replaced with new ones with a different map. Fortunately not but it will cost the ECB a bundle.

But the latter one, I'll keep that in mind when next time in Thailand
Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

      Silly.

How easy is it to get hold of Thai coins?

I vote for the second one as most embarrasing.
      Concrete, Abstract, or Squoingy?

The most embarrasing thing here is that Yahoo actually posted that as 'news'. IIRC that was known as early as last November (and if I'm not mistaken many vending machines have already been adapted, at least here in the Netherlands)...

He declined to say exactly how much compensation he hopes for. But he said that longer the affair dragged on, the higher the sum would be.
I see that capitalism hasn't completly died out in Europe.

AS for the second story. Well, we get those damned Canadian coins down here all the time.

I thought that this was about Sweden looking like a flaccid penis.

BTW, is Thailand the country having dong as their currency?

Of course, I dong have any wish that this would become another dong thread.

dong get us started with the dong thing again. It is Vietnam that has the dong but it's like every other place. Some people have a lot of dong and some people only have a little dong. Those with a little dong have to find other sources of dong while those with a lot just throw their dong everywhere.

The copyright claim is ridiculous, how can you copyright a map for ****'s sake?

Quite easily. National Geographic does it all the time, IIRC.

But how can anyone claim copyright rights to an image of europe? If that were true then anything with the shape of europe would be an infringement. I dont think its fair for anyone to claim the rights to that. Did they CREATE europe? I dont think so.

They aren't claiming rights to the general image of europe, just a specific one, which they created.

I'm asuming that they took the sattelite map and stuck it straight onto the template... beats me how they could tell the difference, though.
