    51 ??????????????

    Louisiana? No.
    Nevada? No, again.
    Oregon is nice
    Texas, naturally, the best.

Why is Mississippi left out of the poll?

            There is not ewnough space

from an Eurocom perspective it seems that Missisipi is not top 16

              let's see

              Oregon has:

great climate (many days by going outside you cannot tell by the weather wether it is in the middle of winter or the middle of summer, no or little snow where people live but good skiing in the mountains, ect)

              beautiful mountains

              great desert

              great beach and ocean

              lush and beautiful valley (Willamet)

              great city (portland)

              great scenery

              great forests

              great rivers and lakes

              it is just beautiful

of course it also has miserable places like my home town and it has too many hicks but the good is much better (best place I have been so far, if only my family did not live there)

                  Illinois,

Chicago for the urban life. A major cultural center. One of the largest and most friendly cities in the world.

The suburbs for those that like Chicago but don't want to live there.

Everything south of I-80 for those that prefer the slower rural life.
Illinois still has some vast pristine areas for the nature lovers.

Next to the largest fresh water supply in the world.

                  and home of DA BEARS

                  RAH

Can't believe you left one of the largest metropolitan areas off your list.

Illinois? Isn't that like the Yankee version of Mississippi?

                          Georgia.

The Devil went down to Georgia and he was looking for a soul to steal.

                          Georgia on my mind

Its the state where the streams flow clean, the dear roam freely, and the air is clean. Most Georgians still believe in southern hospitality and its also in the heart of the Bible belt. Its close enough to the ocean for a short drive to the beach and it also has its own mountain range if you want to go hiking. There aint nothin' quite like peach pie and pretty much everybody takes everything real slow. NO SNOW!!!! and summers very rarely get into anything higher then 95. Just enough rain for the grass to grow real nice and green and we even got us a big city too.(Atlanta). There are lots of trees so you have some shade trees to sit under and we have the claim to fame of the one city with more golfcart paths per capita then any other city in the United
States (PeachtreeCity Ga where you can drive your golfcart up to the local blockbuster to rent a movie and they have golfcart parking spaces at the local grocery stores.)

It was kind of hard to try to type with a southern accent but i sure as heckfired tried. (hehe)

                          New York :too crowded
Ohio :cincinatti airport is nice but it's really in kentucky
                          Alaska :too cold
                          Nevada :see texas
Colorado :a mile high, cant breathe
Maine :Stephen King is here, thats it

Hawai :Very nice however too crowded and expensive especially
                          food because they import everything
Maryland :Nice state, not too bad but a little cold in winter

Hey, Japan has roughly the same pop as the US, and the size of California. If California is too crowded, then it's just bad politics!
