California is too crowded (perhaps) in places like LA, there are not many people living in some parts of the state. I could imagine a city as big as LA being liviable but LA was horrid (I have never actually lived there but I liked visiting Atlanta and Chicago).

TEXAS!!!! Of course. The climate, the people, the scenery. I would have to say the only downfall that I can honestly see with Texas is that you can drive 8 hours and still be in the same state.

I was raised in Europe and have traveled for years, but I would have to say Texas is the best!!

Oh yes one other thing I forgot.............I'M BACK!!!

            Where are SS and Lancer?

I need support on Oregon (BTW Portland rates as a nice city IIRC).

Besides NY I have an unexplicable fascination with Memphis. Is this good or bad? Where the hell is Memphis?

                Japan: 126,771,662

                US: 278,058,881

According to the CIA world factbook.

I'd probably want to live in the Dakotas or Minnesota. Something similar to where I live now!

                    What kind of music?

(I don't know, it's the name: "Memphis". It sounds mystifying to me.) Propably have heard things too about Memphis that I really liked and don't remember them now.

memphis was named after the Egyptian city. They wanted an intellectual city. And for the most part they succeeded. Compared to other cities in the region they are more intellectual. They are located in Tennesse on the Mississippi river. This is the west part of Tennessee. It was too smoggy for my tastes. The air was brown when I drove through it.

I've only lived in one US state, and that is not on the list of options.

                                The answer is: VIRGINIA

BTW, Jon miller. Don't tell anyone else how good Oregon is. There's enough Californian's migrating there as it is!
