And anarchy is as mis-understood as marxism. Everyone has an negative opinion about it without ever reading anything about it.
Unfortunately true. Why is Marx so looked down upon? Because he saw the relationship between property and power as exploitive and wrong?
Wow, some of you guys have weird views of anarchy (or maybe it's just me). Anarchy is a system based on voluntary cooperation, which has more in common with the marketplace - capitalism - than the examples given in this thread.
One person claimed Somalia is an example of anarchy and another said Somalia is an example of capitalism. It's neither! Somalia is hardly a system of voluntary cooperation and capitalism requires respect for property rights. Somalia is a chaotic situation where warlords run the place with the arbitrary rules.

Not exactly. It's becuase the people that have took up his cause have espoused and defended the doctrine of terrorism and those very same writers are held up today as the hallmarks of Marxist thinkers.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
