  • The Israeli Retaliation Begins

Heh. I saw those two Helicopters leaving the Gaza Strip on BBC, and five minutes later I saw them from my window.

Yasser's Arafat HQ was targeted and destroyed. Unfortunately he's in Judea&Samaria now.

3 of his Helos were destroyed.

Few news sites report that Israel decided to wage war against all terror organizations, including the Fatah and the Tanzim.
Meeting concerning Arafat himself will be held after Sharon's speech today(19:30 Israel time).

Yes, I can tell you're definitely enjoying all this destruction and killing...

I take it you also don't care if this means more Israeli civilians are going to get brutally torn apart by nail bombs!

Apparently Hamas have suicide bombers queueing up around the block eager to volunteer! (Guess they figure that if they're going to die anyway, they might as well take a few Israelis with them...)

          Oh well...
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

What's all this "retaliation begins" nonsense? Somebody just fall off the turnip truck?

Does no one there realise that the only sensible way out is to stop the retaliation and get back around the table ? You both have to do so sometime, unless genocide is the aim. Might as well be sooner than later.

But I guess it's always the other side that have to do so first, and they must fail to retaliate for a few times on the trot, just so "we're" sure "we" "won".

Look at it this way, what sort of example are you giving out ?

Doesn't Israel see that they are playing into the militants hands? By bombing Arafat they make him appear weak to the Palestinians and he will lose any semblage of moderating power over them.

All hell is about to break loose and you will have brought it on yourselves.

Bah. Seniors in the PM office sat that Arafat will not be hurt and that the attacks 20 minutes ago were just a "very strong" message to him.

The Palestinian claim that there are tens of casualties. From some reason you cant see them in the videos we get from there.

                      Some message.

Both to him and to the other Palestinians.

Your leader can not stop us blowing bits out of your area. Might as well give up on him and take matters into your own hands.

Or did you have a more moderate leader in mind that you wanted to negotiate with ?

Very well. Israel will now show the Palestine that they have the power to strike back, if needed. If terrorist continue attacks, Israel should reoccupy those territories. It's too good anyway, that territory is Israel!

All I can think of is that I'm glad I don't live in such a hot area.

I far from know the whole story, but it seems to me that the only people that ever die are civilians. Retaliation usually means kill a few civilians.

Pretty silly. No real progress on either side. Just this back and forth bs that only kills innocent people. Sad.

Eli, i know you give a damn about the hipocritic whining of those pro arab "ghuf"(good human-underdog friends), i wouldnt either, but let me tell you "i am not happy"!
It was absolutely foreseeable that your country can only take a certain amount of ****, if even Arafats FATAH takes part in the bomb attacks, despite the forum fools who want you to just sit there and swallow it. You have to strike back!
                              But, what will come next?
There is no way to compromise with the scumbags of Hamas and Jihad and where is the thinn line to Tanzim and FATAH?
