    Zopper,

Yes, Hueij has been strangely absent....Are you there Hueij?

I'm not going all the way to Belgium...

If it's on 25-11 I definately can't come. On the 24th I could come if it's in the afternoon, but not in the evening. As for locations, I would prefer Utrecht because it's closer, but Rotterdam's also fine with me. But I'm not going all the way to Belgium; that's too far.

          And where's Hueij...???

          You rang, M'lord?

Any Saturday or Sunday would be fine by me, but I don't know about the HCC... Too many people in too small a place... But I'm all for Utrecht, it's the most central place. Otherwise I would suggest Amsterdam, in case there will be farriners Last time I was in Rotterdam was in '77 and when you wanted to go to another bar you had to take the tram... But maybe things have changed
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
          Once again...

I offer to travel all the way to Brussels and thats the response I get. Huh!

Its academic as I can't make it anyway.

Great to see you're still around Hueij.

Yes, the central halls can be rather crowded but you can always chill out on the first floor. They organize some lectures and presentations on the 1st floor so it's relatively quiet. (I speak from experience i )
Otherwise we could try and find a cafe close to the Jaarbeurs (anyone got tips?). I know there's a diner that you pass as come out of the station and walk towards the Jaarbeurs building.

I think it’s about time there’s such a meeting in our regions and I’d like to meet you guys, but I’ve no particular interest in computer fairs. (count me out as a genuine geek because never heard of HCC either )

” Rotterdam is more central if our belgium friends will come as well, or people from England.“

Why not Antwerp? It’s nice and central too.

Rotterdam doesn’t sound such a bad idea to me actually, I’ve never been to the place and I’d give me a chance to see it.

I would definitely do it. I have heard that Rotterdam is quite a cool place, and I liked Amsterdam too. I wouldn't be able to do it at quite this short notice, but is a definite plan for next year.

CyberShy, you'd be pleasantly surprised, I do not come across quite as 'vocal' in real life as I do at Apolyton.

Hey, I'd have to see if I could drag any of the York bunch with me

Last time I was there, was a few months ago...we had to walk to visit a café...so basically...things have become worse ...(BTW...you have c00l trolleybuses in Arnhem... )

Saturday November 24th would be OK...but I need to take the day off...so I'll need to know in advance...

All in favor of 24-11, say: "AJAX!"

In that case you MUST COME Colon. Time to receive your trial by fire!

And Utrecht is only 20-30 mins away from Rotterdam with the intercity train.

No way I'll say "AJAX!" Feijenoord (old spelling, with ij ) or Vitesse on the other hand...

Let me state the prelimary date then: saturday 24 nov, meeting time around 13:30-12:30 in (or around) the Jaarbeurs during the HCC. It may be packed but I'll come up with something to show people in the right direction (by phone or small map) if necessary.

                            P.S
This is the first planned meet so I say we keep it to 24 nov Utrecht. If this meet comes together we can plan something bigger and better for next year. Maybe Rotterdam next time?

                            Let's give it a shot.

Well, I'm still having problems with the HCC connection. I for one am absolutely not interested in going there and the Jaarbeurs surroundings will be packed. But if you all want to do it then and there I will be there but no way will I enter the Jaarbeurs...

Why not make it 31 November?
