  • That would be the police officers who arrest those "educators" and bubba who butt rapes them in jail who are just acting on principle.

What's wrong with opening or holding a door for anyone?
If you only do it for hot 18 year olds then you have point, otherwise I see it as good upbringing.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

For a young man to do so for all females reflects good upbringing If they dont want to They shouldnt be forced to. I have two Boys my self and am teaching my older one who is 14 to do things such as these, and he does here in my presence however i cant be with him 24/ 7 so if he fails to else where i dont think i would call it bad.

Why would americans have less right to complain because of something happening in Korea

While the incident that took place in korea was horrible, In an whole that was violence as was the incident reported here. I dont know korean law but in the states that type of activity wont nd shouldnt be tolerated.

What about hospital fees? Surely she shouldn't be expected to pay the fees for treating her because someone hit her. Plus if she had a job and couldn't work due to having a cast on her wrist, that would count as lost earnings. And that's without considering the pain and humiliation of it. Either way, it's one of the few case I think would deserve financial recompense.

I have to admit your right. THank god I dont have to be the one to decide what her humiliation and pain and suffering are worth.

                • After reading this thread I think the lot of ya need to be paddled

The school ****ed up and will pay for it. She in turn will learn what it really takes to get along in America.

                  Some acting ability
                  Someone being stupid
And a number to the nearest law firm.

                  • A sad case, but Sprayber seems exactly right. The US reminds me more and more of that dimension in Quantum Leap where 80% of the population are lawyers - one guy bumps into someone and says sorry, she sues, claiming that saying sorry is an admission of guilt, and wins. I'd like one simple rule to solve it - a case is only worthy of court time if the damages of the case would outweigh the costs of prosecuiting it. Therefore, if you want to sue someone, it has to be something serious enough to warrant paying the amount of money to prosecute it. Thus bumping into someone would be non-contestable, butdoing something that required hospitalization would, due to the costs of hospitalization that need recovering.

                    • I dont agree with the sue happy. The lawsuits have been freaking out of hand. Imagine some person goes to buy coffee at mcdonalds and ends up spilling it themselves how should they get millions for burns?

                      • I don't blame the people who do it, I blame the system that allows it. It's important that people be allowed access to the courts to get legit damages but the questions becomes what needs to be done to limit the bad suits without restricting the ablity of legit ones being heard. I'm not a law expert by any means but the merits of her case will depend upon a jury or a judge I guess in some cases. She can't get a dime unless other people agree that what the school done was wrong. That will be left up to other people who have their own ideas and preconeived notions. I suppose that in the end that has to be enough because I can't think of any other way for it to be decided.

only the fact they do it just for girls.

Personally, I hold the door open for anyone no matter what gender they are. Though I have never pulled a chair out in my lifetime. That seems really old fashioned.
